Sonia's speech furthering confusion: BJP

HYDERABAD, MARCH 17. The BJP claimed that the address of the AICC president, Sonia Gandhi, at the public meeting here on Wednesday was aimed at continuing the confusion on statehood for Telangana.

Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, BJP State president, N. Indrasena Reddy, and vice-president, S.V. Seshagiri Rao, said that instead of clarifying the Congress' stand on Telangana, Ms Sonia Gandhi had created confusion on the demand with her speech. She gave an impression that the party was interested in continuing the confusion.

They said a lot of expectations were raised on Ms. Gandhi's public speech. But she let down everyone without addressing the problems of the State. The meeting itself was a big sham as it was considered a victory rally of Congress but there was not a single achievement of the party to show in its ten-month rule, the BJP leaders said.
