Singhal chants Ayodhya mantra again

TIRUPATI: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad's (VHP) International President, Ashok Singhal, on Thursday said that when he offered prayers in the hill temple of the Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala on Thursday,

"He (the Lord) urged him to take upon himself the holy task of constructing Ram Mandir in Ayodhya."

"He is the most revered deity of the Hindus all over the world and so it is now up to him to see that work on the Ayodhya temple begins in one year or so," he said while addressing a VHP meet after visiting the `Dharma Kshethram' in M.R. Palle here.

Mr. Singhal underlined the need to develop Tirupati as the spiritual and cultural hub of India and appealed to all those concerned to work in the direction.

Akhand Bharat

He gave a call for the establishment of what he called the 'Akhand Bharat' comprising an integrated India with Pakistan and Bangladesh.

He was addressing RSS workers after participating in the 'Raksha Bandhan' programme in Saraswathi Sishu Mandir here.
