RTC traffic to take new route in Nellore

NELLORE, OCT. 7. The traffic advisory meeting held here recently unanimously approved of 20 resolutions and decided to implement the same from October 10.

One of the resolutions relates to diverting APSRTC traffic through Magunga underbridge and Ramalingapuram underbridge, as it has been causing traffic bottleneck when the buses enter and exit the bus station. Accordingly the present `OUT' gate will be the `IN' gate for RTC buses from now on.

Norms for autos

Also, all private buses with starting/ending point at RTC bus stand will terminate at Kasturbhai School, after taking a U-turn at KVR petrol bunk. It has been decided to shift the transformer opposite the UTI bank to a safer place after a survey.

Autorickhshaws will not be allowed to stop for picking up passengers 100 metres on either side of the bus stand. They can do so only at the allotted auto stand. The northern side passenger entry of the Atmakur bus stand will be closed with immediate effect as the autos parked opposite the gate are obstructing traffic. The parking will be to the eastern side of the bus stand. It has also been decided to allow the buses terminating at Bose statue to go via Vinayaka theatre and RKT petrol bunk.

Workshops to shift

A traffic island will be built at Muttukuru cross road. All taxi and tempo stands at Gandhi statue opposite co-operative bank and Subedarpet will be shifted to mini bypass between Saibaba temple to Muttukuru cross road. It has also been decided to shift all automobile workshops in the town to Auto Nagar.
