Providential escape for train passengers

HYDERABAD OCT. 22. Passengers aboard the Charminar Express bound for the city from Chennai had a providential escape when alert railway staff prevented it from reaching a stretch of tracks that were damaged due to heavy rain near Ghatkesar on the city outskirts on Wednesday morning.

The damaged tracks which were flooded by rainwater were noticed by the railway staff and repaired immediately for the train to have a smooth run. The train was stopped at Bibinagar railway station for an hour and repair works were carried out. The train reached Secunderabad an hour behind scheduled time of 8.30 p.m.
