Post offices to sell Itz cash cards

HYDERABAD : Intrex India Limited has tied up with the Department of Posts for distribution of Itz cash cards, the first multi-utility pre-paid card in Andhra Pradesh.

The Itz cash card comes in the denominations of Rs. 250, Rs. 500, Rs. 1,000, Rs. 1,500, Rs. 3,000, Rs. 5,000 and Rs. 10,000.

Launched by Intrex this month, the card enables consumers to top up mobile pre-paid accounts, shop online, book railway tickets, buy Internet connection packages and play online games.

It is already available across the country through 88 Asian Sky Shop franchisee networks, 4,500 Playwin retailers and 5,500 Dish TV outlets.

Commenting on the tie-up, Andhra Pradesh Circle Chief Postmaster General T.S. Govindarajan said the Postal Department was intending to sell several utility services based on the reliability, network and dedicated workforce as such business activity would bring in more revenue to the department.

Intrex executive director Naveen Surya said that the company has proposed to distribute Itz cash cards through 30 post offices in the twin cities and the facility would be extended to other post offices in due course.
