Plans afoot to woo investors from UK

Rotolok, a company engaged in manufacture of rotary valves and other materials handling equipment, has evinced keen interest in setting up a manufacturing unit at the special economic zone in Nellore. The company has sought the cooperation of the British South India Chamber of Commerce in this direction, according to K. Lakshminarayana, chief consultant of AP Project Facilitators & Consultancy Services Limited. Rotolok was one among the several firms in the United Kingdom that were keen on investing in the four southern States.

Addressing a meeting of the BSICC here on Wednesday, Mr. Lakshminarayana said the chamber had focussed its attention on ensuring that at least half-a-dozen projects were materialised in the coming months. “We are working towards promoting bilateral trade and business to bring investments to southern States,” he said.

BSICC director Sujit S. also spoke.
