Elucidating on advantages of the National Lok Adalat, one of which is to offer a platform to those interested in settling compoundable cases in an amicable manner, Principal District Judge Junaid Ahmed Moulana urged the officials concerned to ensure that the parties are not forced, but come forward voluntarily for settlement.
Addressing the gathering, during a joint meeting with officials from various departments, here on Saturday, he called for cooperation in settling various cases during the upcoming National Lok Adalat, scheduled to be held on July 14, and said that main emphasis would be on criminal compoundable cases.
Recalling the statistics of last three National Lok Adalats, Third Additional District Judge C. Purushotham Kumar said that, 85 cases were settled and asked Tirupati Urban Superintendent of Police Abhishek Mohanty to lend his assistance in settling the compoundable cases.
Mr. Mohanty called upon the police personnel to spread awareness among the parties sustaining the spirit of Lok Adalat.
APSRTC Regional Manager T. Chengal Reddy, Tirupati RDO G. Narasimhulu and other members of the judiciary took part.
