Naxals hold one more gram sabha

NALGONDA, MARCH. 3. People's War naxalites, numbering about 35, reportedly held yet another gram sabha at Timmapur village in Chandampet mandal last night.

According to information reaching here, armed cadre led by the naxal couple, Ravi and Aruna, took control of the entire village for about five hours and stopped all vehicles that reached the village in the night.

They reportedly searched for the Telugu Desam Party village president, E. Tiruparthy Reddy, in vain. They are said to have destroyed the party's flagpost after disconnecting telephone lines in and around the area and asked villagers to assemble at a place in the heart of the village.
