Medical electronics course introduced

VISAKHAPATNAM, SEPT. 25. Progress in the field of medical electronics has resulted in greater accuracy in bio-medical test reports and helped doctors diagnose diseases correctly, the Secretary of the Rayagada Industrial Training Centre, A.V. Jagannadha Rao Patnaik, said here on Saturday.

At an awareness meet organised at the VJF Press Club, he said the medical electronics course, introduced for the first time in the country, offered ample job opportunities.

"Students who have completed Intermediate or its equivalent with science or mathematics as their subjects are eligible to apply. The fee for the two-year course is Rs. 72,000. Hostel facilities have been provided at Rayagada," Mr. Patnaik said.

Students will be taught the basics of the functioning of the human body, various diseases, the functioning of electronic healthcare equipment and their maintenance.
