MCH clarifies

HYDERABAD Nov. 10. The Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad (MCH) has clarified that it has not supplied the expired polio vaccine that was reportedly administered to two children at Nimboliadda on Sunday during the Sub-National Pulse Polio Immunisation programme and the medicine was lifted from the stores of the Commissionerate of Family Welfare.

In a statement here, the MCH, however, asked the people not to panic over the incident. The Commissioner of Family Welfare had been addressed to take appropriate action against the medical officer and other paramedical staff responsible for using the expired vaccine.
