Suresh Reddy, BJP senior leader Ch Vidyasagar on Sunday demanded the Speaker to disqualify the legislator for abusing the Chair. “The Speaker and the Privileges Committee should use their powers and take action against the TDP legislator, to protect the values of democracy and the State Legislature”, he pointed out.

Talking to newsmen here at his residence, Mr. Vidyasagar Rao reminded that former Assembly Speaker G. Narayana Rao had ordered the arrest of Congress leaders when they entered into the Assembly premises and created mayhem. He also said that Lok Sabha also disqualified some MPs when they took ransom for raising questions in the Parliament.

With regard to the derogatory remarks reportedly made by TDP legislator, he said that the action should be initiated within 24 hours after the allegations were made against the Speaker. He also said that the TDP President and main opposition leader N. Chandrababu Naidu should have reacted on the issue.

About the prevailing uncertainty in the State politics and the reported entry of film star Chiranjeevi into politics, he said that the media had created lot of hype about his reported entry into politics. “We do not know whether he (Chiranjeevi) is interested to launch a political party or not. But, his brother-in-law Allu Arvind had stated the Chiranjeevi’s train time table was not printed”, he said.

“On the other hand, the train was being run by the media. Some persons have already boarded and some others are waiting at the railway stations to board the train”, he remarked.

He said that the people of Andhra Pradesh give due respect to film stars for their performances.

“If film stars enter politics, it is not easy lifestyle. He will be observed for his good things and mistakes”, he maintained.
