`Livelihood' plan for mentally challenged

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Assistant General Manager (Visakhapatnam region) of Andhra Bank, M. Somanadham, said every individual should strive to improve the conditions of mentally challenged persons.

Inaugurating a programme, `book binding for the mentally challenged', organised under the auspices of the Pedawaltair branch of the bank on Saturday, he was all praise for the efforts of Lebenshilfe, which was training children in self-employment programme.

He announced that the `livelihood' programme would be extended to all branches in the city.

The senior manager of the branch, Harshavardhan Reddy, and the director of Lebenshilfe, T. Saraswathi Devi, attended.
