Kommineni Foundation's gesture to poor students

GUNTUR: The Kommineni Foundation, started by a Guntur-based professor of Pathology, settled in the United States, will continue its work for the educational uplift of economically weaker students, said trustee of the foundation, Kommineni Veera Raghavendra Chowdary.

Dr. Chowdary told presspersons here on Saturday that the foundation was encouraging meritorious students and winners in different sporting events of Zilla Parishad School of Kolluru in Guntur district by providing them with scholarships. Dr. Chowdary said he was inspired to do something for his motherland as a philanthropist helped him in becoming a successful doctor in the United States. when he struggled hard economically since his student days at the ZP School in Kolluru.

Earlier, the foundation had taken up construction of a Primary Health Centre.
