KARIMNAGAR: The Union Minister for Labour and Employment and TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao's visit to Karimnagar district, after a gap of nearly one year, has failed to enthuse people of the district in general and the party rank and file in particular.

Contrary to the expectations of the people and the party leaders,

Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao had cut short all his developmental programmes by just laying foundation stones without addressing the gathering anywhere. Though, a total of six developmental works including laying of foundation stone for the construction of FM radio station, youth hostel building, girls hostel buildings, road works, PF office building etc, were listed at none of the places did he address the gathering.

At the foundation stone laying programme of the FM radio station in Bommakal in the outskirts of Karimnagar, Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao along with the Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, S. Jaipal Reddy, the Ministers--M Satyanarayana Rao, Md Fariduddin-- the Government whip, D. Sridhar, the ZP chairman K.V. Rajeshwara Rao, the legislators and other officials had only unveiled the plaque of the foundation stone for the radio station.

Elaborate arrangements

Though, the Prasar Bharathi authorities had made elaborate arrangements following the arrival of two Union Ministers and State Ministers respectively to address the gathering, Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao had boarded the car immediately after unveiling the plaque thereby throwing the security officials, legislators and others into confusion.

Later, all others followed him abruptly creating utter confusion. Same was situation at all other developmental works in the town.

The Minister for Sports, M Satyanarayana Rao had also cut short his participation in Karimnagar town along with the Union Minister and proceeded to the already scheduled Jammikunta mandal where the Congress leader, T. Sammi Reddy was assuming charge as the Jammikunta agricultural market committee chairman.
