Kanipakam brahmotsavam ends

Correspondent

CHITTOOR: The 21-day Brahmotsavam of Lord Varasiddi Vinayaka Swamy concluded at Kanipakam in Irala mandal. The event was a great success due to the concerted efforts of all the departments, including the trust board members, said Sreeramulu Reddy, chairman of the temple trust board, and Kesavulu, executive officer and joint commissioner.

They said that some 5 lakh people had visited the Vinayaka Swamy temple during the Brahmotsavam and free meals were provided to 3 lakh pilgrims.

However, some pilgrims were put to inconvenience due to lack of sufficient sheds and rooms. Keeping this in view, necessary action would be taken to develop adequate accommodation facilities in six months, they said.

They thanked the philanthropists who contributed money to run the free meal programme for 21 days during the Brahmotsavam and appreciated the services rendered by the temple staff and other departments for conducting the Brahmotsavam in a planned manner.
