An Intensive Care Unit (ICU), with 10 beds and five ventilators, set up at the paediatrics ward of King George Hospital (KGH) was inaugurated by Collector Pravin Kumar on Monday.

Later, the Collector, accompanied by KGH Superintendent G. Arjuna and Head of Department P. Venugopal, went round the ward and inspected the new equipment being installed at the ward.

He advised the hospital authorities to provide the best healthcare services to children.

“A sum of Rs. 10 lakh was spent on provision of beds, ventilators and other equipment at the ward,” Dr. Arjuna said.

RMO Banagarayya was also present on the occasion.
