Headless body of financier found

HYDERABAD OCT. 26. The murder of a financier, Chand Pasha (27), who has been missing from October 21 midnight, was confirmed on Saturday after his head and torso were found at different places on Sanga Reddy-Zaheerabad road.

A resident of Chintal under Jeedimetla police station area, Pasha left home on October 21 midnight after receiving a phone call from a friend. He was not seen since then. On October 22, the Jeedimetla police registered a case of a man missing following a complaint lodged by members of Pasha's family. Two days later, passers-by noticed a decomposed head minus torso lying on the road.

Though the police believed that it was that of the victim, the latter's family members raised doubts on the police version. However, a headless torso was found on the same route at another place the next day confirming Pasha's murder. Preliminary investigations indicated that the murder could be a fall-out of monetary dispute.

Rag picker killed

An unidentified rag picker, aged about 60 years, was found murdered in an open ground in Adayyanagar under Market police station area on Sunday morning. Injuries were found on his head. It is suspected that the assailants attacked the victim with sharp-edged weapons.

Sniffer dogs were called in and the Clues team visited the spot. Locals said the victim used to sleep on the pavement. On Saturday, he was seen moving around with some young rag pickers.
