Grand reception planned for Ramana Maharshi ratham

TIRUPATI, AUG. 14. The chariot of knowledge, `Ramana Maharshi Gnana Ratham,' that started on July 17 at Tiruchuli, the saint's birthplace to commemorate his 125th birth anniversary will reach Tirupati on Sunday, after passing through major cities and towns in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

A grand reception has been planned by the local unit of Sri Ramana Kendram .

The chariot will be received by the organisers at Pudipatla at 8 a.m. and a public meeting will be held later at SV Arts College. The film actor, M. Mohanbabu, will lead a procession of devotees and the chariot up to Nalugukalla mandapam junction, which then proceeds to Ramakrishna seva samithi in Vinayaka Nagar where a public meeting has been planned.

The afternoon session begins with a public meeting at AGS College in Khadi Colony, followed by cultural programmes at Tyagaraja Mandapam. `Aksharamana mala parayanam' will be recited by devotees later.

The chariot will then leave for Srikalahasti on Monday.
