Govt. gesture to Sikhs

HYDERABAD Dec. 25. The State Government has agreed to give Rs. 50 lakhs and allot five acres of land in Ranga Reddy district for the Sikh community to construct a building in honour of Guru Govind Singh, said T. Devender Goud, Home Minister.

He was speaking at the inaugural function of the Khalsa sports festival.

The Chief Patron of the Guru Govind Singh Sports Council, Huzur Singh, welcomed the gathering.

The Minister's reaction was in response to a reminder by Mr. Singh that the Home Minister had made a promise in this regard as early as in April, 1999.
