Faction cases will be reviewed: Additional DGP

HYDERABAD, AUG. 21. The Additional DGP, Law and Order, V. Dinesh Reddy, on Saturday said cases pertaining to factional violence for which representations will be received from the victims, will be reviewed thoroughly.

At a press conference today, when Mr. Reddy was asked as to what steps are being initiated against the allegations on the TDP Legislator from Penukonda, Paritala Ravindra, after his alleged victims made a representation to Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy recently, Mr. Reddy said: "If representations are made by the people, who have suffered injustice under anyone and who say that they have been denied justice, such cases will be reviewed and if required, cases will be reopened. It is not only Mr. Ravindra's case, but the police in general will review all such cases." "Strict action is being initiated against those policemen who have not been able to control such crimes. There are incidences where policemen have been suspended too," Mr. Reddy asserted.

Operation Blue Fox

Mr. Reddy informed that the movements of factionists at various points, specially at Cuddapah and Kurnool, is being checked under a special operation called Operation Blue Fox.
