CPI(M) to launch stir against Polavaram

Rajahmundry: The Communist Party of India-Marxist is going to launch an agitation against the Polavaram irrigation project from March 24.

Addressing press conference in Rajavommangi in East Godavari agency area on Saturday, CPI(M) State secretariat member and Bhadrachalam MLA Sunnam Rajaiah said that the party would ask tribals to observe a bandh in 149 mandals in nine districts from March 24. He said they were going to demand change of design in the project and rehabilitation package implementation during their agitation.
