Gandhi Bhavan, which witnessed hectic activity till Saturday, wears a deserted look

HYDERABAD: With the scene of the AICC plenary shifting to Gachibowli, Gandhi Bhavan, which was a beehive of activity during the run-up, wore a deserted look on Sunday.

But for the ferrying of delegates to the venue of the sessions by buses in the morning, there was virtually no activity on its premises which witnessed a steady stream of visitors until Saturday. Twenty-six buses meant for delegates who could not be provided cars exclusively had left half-filled or nearly empty.

The shamiana where the delegates' passes were issued and railway reservations made also saw less number of takers. Barring the counter dealing with delegates from Maharashtra, all others were wound up.

Police presence

A small group had lazily occupied chairs. The police continued to be posted at the building in a large number but they were seen relaxing. Even the entrance and all other rooms were locked.
