Complaint to poll panel against Naidu

CUDDAPAH, APRIL 24. The Cuddapah District Congress Committee president, Shaik Hussain, on Saturday complained to the Election Commission that the Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, had canvassed at Alamkhanpalle in Cuddapah mandal last night after the closure of the scheduled time.

Mr. Hussain sent complaints to the Chief Election Commissioner, SEC and the Collector alleging that the Chief Minister addressed a gathering at Alamkhanpalle at 10.15 p.m.

The CM's convoy left Alamkhanpalle at 10.30 p.m. with loud speakers and the SP had directed the TDP leaders to stop canvassing on vehicles fitted with mikesets, the Congress leader stated.

However, Mr. Naidu and TDP leaders organised a road show in various parts of Cuddapah town, he complained. He urged the authorities to initiate action against the CM and TDP leaders for allegedly violating the election code of conduct.
