Commitment on part of teachers urged

ADILABAD, MARCH 24. The Adilabad district Collector, J. Sudha Rani, on Thursday called for commitment and dedication on part of teachers. She was inaugurating the district-level teaching-learning material (TLM) mela, organised at the Ambedkar Bhavan by the District Primary Education Programme and the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA).

The Collector said such dedication had produced good quality students. The Indian science students were at par with the best in the world because of good grounding in the subject, she said.

The SSA Additional Project Coordinator, Vishwanath Rao, said Rs.50 lakhs at the rate of Rs.500 per teacher was spent for preparing models of TLM across the district. Mandal-level TLM melas were conducted earlier and select entries were sent for participation at the district level, he informed.
