City scientist to attend training in Thailand

Principal scientist at the Visakhapatnam regional centre of ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (ICAR-CIFT) U.

Sreedhar will attend the prestigious training programme on regional ocean governance at Phuket in Thailand from February 28 to March 19.

Dr. Sreedhar has been nominated for the programme on ‘regional ocean governance framework, implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) and its related instruments in the Southeast Asian seas and the Indian Ocean.”

The training programme is basically divided into three modules viz. global ocean governance framework, managing relations with the ocean in Southeast Asian and Indian Ocean Regions and conflict management and consensus building.
