Child labourers freed

HYDERABAD Jan. 28. The Ranga Reddy district administration has `liberated' 38 child labourers and collected a fine amount of Rs. 80,699 from the employers as difference of wages. The same amount was disbursed among the children. Officials of the Ranga Reddy District Circle-I of the Labour Department on Monday conducted an Open Court near the Food World outlet in Chandanagar under the supervision of the Labour Officer, S. Naresh Kumar. After identifying the employers from Medchal, Chandanagar and Jeedimetla in raids conducted over the past one month, 38 children were found to be employed. The raids were conducted on instructions from the Commissioner of Labour, Ayoyendra Pyal.
