BSNL to roll out new tariff plan

VIJAYAWADA, AUG. 14. To mark the Independence Day celebrations, the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has announced five new attractive tariff plans for its B-fone customers.

Various packages

According to the new tariff plan which will become effective from Sunday, the customers opting for the a monthly rental package of Rs. 260 will get 160 free calls a month, marking a 220 per cent increase when compared with the previous offer of 60 free calls for a monthly rental of Rs. 250.

The per unit call charge after exhausting the free call limit will be Rs. 1.20. For customers opting for the Rs. 500 per month rental package, the number of free calls will be 475, amounting to talk time worth Rs. 522, while Rs. 1.10 will be charged for every unit beyond the free calls.

Likewise, the Rs. 1,000 monthly rental package consists of 1,050 free calls amounting to Rs. 1,050 while the per unit charge beyond the free calls limit will be Rs. 1. The BSNL is also offering a Rs. 1,500 per month rental package with 1,800 free calls amounting to Rs. 1,620 and Rs. 2,250 per month rental package that consists 2,900 free calls worth Rs. 2,610.

For urban areas only

The charge per unit beyond the free calls for the last two packages will be 90 paise.

The new tariff plans are, however, applicable for the urban area consumers only and the subscribers desirous of opting for the new plans may simply fill up the option forms available at the customer service centres of the BSNL.
