Elected

The Drug Inspector (city), Ravi Udaya Bhaskar, has been elected general secretary of the All India Drugs Control Officers Confederation during the general body meeting of the federation held at Delhi recently. S.W. Deshpande, of Maharashtra, has been elected president.

VSP gesture

Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) has donated Rs. 1 lakh to the Sabari Vidya Niketan, being run by the Ayyappa Devalaya Samithi, for constructing a permanent building for the school.

The Chairman-cum-Managing Director in-charge of the VSP, C. Appa Rao, handed over the cheque to the members of the school committee on Monday.
