Rain likely

Rain or showers in parts of the city has been forecast for Monday. The maximum temperature recorded on Sunday was 29.9 degree Celsius and minimum temperature was 21.5 degree Celsius with a relative humidity of 70 per cent. The city recorded 0.7 mm rainfall.

Salt prices cut

Rates of salt packets being supplied in the city and adjoining places have been reduced by Rs. 40 per quintal with effect from Monday. All kirana stores, supermarkets and general stores have been advised to purchase salt from salesmen at reduced prices, the Twin Cities Salt Packets Suppliers Association said in a statement here on Sunday. Diploma course
