Spell of rain


Generally cloudy with one or two spells of rain likely is the forecast for Sunday.

The city on Saturday recorded a maximum temperature of 28.2 degrees Celsius, minimum temperature of 21.2 degrees Celsius, relative humidity of 72 per cent and rainfall of 0.1 mm.



An awareness programme on rainwater harvesting through recharge pit was organised at Baljothi Government Primary School, Zeba Bagh, in Asifnagar on Saturday.

The programme organised by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board in association with the Minority Educational Society and Smaran.

The rainwater harvesting structure was sponsored by the Deccan Development Society.

NTR Garden


The NTR Garden will remain open to the public from 12.30 p.m instead of 2.30 p.m on second Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from July 25. On other days the NTR Garden will be open from 2.30 p.m.

The timings are revised in view of the heavy rush of visitors on second Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, according to a HUDA press release.

Health camp

Sri Vijaya Hospitals, Mehdipatnam, is conducting a free health check-up camp for personnel of the Nampally police station from 11 a.m. on Sunday.

The hospital will conduct free of cost, blood tests, urine tests, blood grouping and ECG tests.

B. R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) will organise a live tele-conferencing for students on `P. R. Publics' on Sunday through DD-8 channel from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. The BRAOU will also organise teleconference through KU band on Mana TV from 10 a.m. for under-graduate students in Hindi, chemistry and other subjects. It will conduct a phone-in programme on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. through AIR on English literature foundation course, according to a release.
