Hot days are here again

Mainly clear sky with no significant change in night temperature in the twin cities has been forecast for Friday. The minimum temperature is likely to be around 18 degree Celsius. Temperatures recorded on Thursday were a maximum of 35.3 degree Celsius and minimum of 18.3 degree Celsius.

Model EAMCET postponed

The model EAMCET which is to be conducted by the Students Federation of India on February 29 has been postponed to second week of May, according to a release.

AMS fabrics course

Blood donation camp held

The Social Awareness Campaign (SAC), formed by a group of students of Central University, organised a blood donation camp at the university health care centre on Thursday. V. Dileep Kumar, general secretary, said 88 persons donated blood.

`Police Dost' campaign

The Hyderabad Council of Human Welfare (HCHW) organised the `Police Dost' campaign for head constables and constables at Lions Bhavan, Secunderabad, on Thursday.

The director, HCHW, Mohd. Rafiuddin, who inaugurated the campaign said it was aimed at sensitising policemen on issues relating to children living on streets and in other trying circumstances.

Elected PRSI vice-chief

The chairman of the Hyderabad chapter of the Public Relations Society of India, M.L. Narasimha Rao, was elected vice-president (south) at the PRSI annual general body meeting held in New Delhi on Thursday.

Medals for students

The Governor, Surjit Singh Barnala, will give away medals to the students who have secured distinction in the Unani graduation course of NTR University of Health at Jubilee Hall in Public Gardens on Saturday. The function is being organised in association with Siasat.
