Deadline extended

The Government has extended the deadline for distribution of white and pink ration cards to November 21, according to Sub-Collector in-charge Ch. Bhanu Prasad. The original deadline for distribution was Tuesday. He said that the extension had been given in view of heavy rush of new applicants as well as backlog of applications to be cleared at the Designated Photography Locations (DPLs). Also, sufficient number of declaration forms had been sent to the DPLs for the convenience of new applicants, he said.

Gulzar warns builders

Municipal Commissioner Natarajan Gulzar has made it clear that action would be taken against builders if they fail to construct apartments as per the approved plan.

Mr. Gulzar said this during his visit to Prajasakti Nagar, Singh Nagar, Indira Nayak Colony, Makineni Basavapunniah Stadium, Vambay Colony and other areas on Monday.

He said cellar space would have to be mandatorily left for parking.
