AIDS run on July 17

An AIDS awareness run and an exhibition on a seminar on the loss suffered by the State are being organised here on July 17 by the Women's Cooperative Society, Indiranagar, Jubilee Hills.

Prominent persons, women, men and students will participate in the run, according to coordinator, D. Ravindranath.

He said in a press release that the organisation (tel. 55889732, 98855-49511) after conducting research has prepared a 26-point strategy to create an AIDS-free society.

Free medical camp

A free medical camp was conducted by St. George Church, Jeedimetla, on its premises on Sunday.

More than 1,000 persons from the surrounding areas, with various ailments, attended the camp and availed themselves of the facility.

Free medicines were given at the camp besides check-up by specialists.

Date extended

The last date for sale and submission of applications and dates for counselling for admission into paramedical training courses 2005-06 has been extended till July 11. V. Murali Mohan, the Additional Director of Medical Education, in a press release on Tuesday said three counselling sessions would be held on July 19, 25 and 30.
