APCLC president kidnapped?

HYDERABAD NOV. 6. The Andhra Pradesh Civil Liberties Committee (APCLC) president, Laxman, an associate professor of Osmania University, was allegedly kidnapped on Thursday night by some persons reportedly belonging to `Tirumala Tigers.'

"Laxman called me up around 10 p.m. saying that he was being forcibly taken by some persons demanding release of a naxal, Siraj, who is in People's War custody," an advocate and senior member of APCLC, Raghunath, told The Hindu over phone.

"The APCLC president was returning home after attending a meeting of the Viplava Rachayitala Singham at the Basheerbagh Press Club. Around 8.30 p.m., he dropped his colleague Shastri at the latter's quarters at Tarnaka and was proceeding to his quarters. We are yet to lodge a complaint," Mr. Raghunath said.
