AHIND activists stage rasta roko

BIDAR: Activists of Alpasankhyataru, Hindulidavaru mathu Dalitaru (AHIND) staged a rasta roko on Mumbai-Hyderabad

National Highway at Humnabad, protesting against former Deputy Chief Minister Siddharamaiah's ouster from the Cabinet.

The protestors burnt the effigies of former Prime Minister and President of the Janata Dal (Secular) H.D. Deve Gowda and Minister for Animal Husbandry and Waqf Mirajuddin Patel. The road was blocked for over 90 minutes. The police diverted vehicles from Nirna Cross to Mannaekhalli Circle.

AHIND activists challenged Mr. Deve Gowda "to secure a seat in north Karnataka and Hyderabad Karnataka, without involving Mr. Siddaramaiah in the election campaign".

They also said Mr. Patel will not be re-elected if he contests again.

Former MLA Zulfikar Hashmi, former president of the district unit of Janata Dal (S) Amrit Chimkod, and former chairmanof Bidar Development Authority Pandit Chidri, led the protest.
