YSR’s appeal to cadre

HYDERABAD: As the government is gearing up to introduce crop insurance with village as unit from the current kharif, Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy has exhorted the party leaders and workers to ensure that all the needy farmers utilised the provision. Participating in the meeting, the Chief Minister wanted the cadre to create awareness among the farmers opting for crop loans about the Paavala Vaddi scheme being launched for them. Meanwhile, Congress MP V. Hanumanth Rao expressed concern that the party workers were being given a raw deal. While those who were earlier with the TDP continued to get the priority, genuine Congress workers were denied any benefit.
