Work on AKNU building to begin in two months

Beela Satyanarayana, in-charge Vice-Chancellor of Adikavi Nannaya University, has said that the construction work on the university building will begin in two months at the proposed Velugubanda site and there is no change in place of construction.

Speaking to media after inaugurating orientation for first year students at Ramakrishna Math Auditorium here on Wednesday, he said that Rs.16.5 crores was given towards land acquisition. Already 129 acres were acquired with the amount.

When asked about the affiliation of 294 degree and PG colleges to AKNU, he said he was not a hurdle for bifurcation. If 294 colleges were affiliated, the remaining 240 colleges would be with Andhra University. Establishment of three cells – examination, academic and development -- were mandatory for affiliation. The three cells would start functioning from the next academic year.
