HYDERABAD: A 20-year-old woman Parvati was found murdered in her rented house at Ambedkarnagar in Borabanda on Monday.

The victim and her husband Raju, hailing from Piduguralla of Guntur district, came to city in search of livelihood a fortnight ago.

They rented a two-room house and moved in recently.

Raju secured office boy job in a software company and Parvathi was also looking out for work.

Neighbours told the S.R. Nagar police that the couple was not seen outside from Sunday morning.

One of them pushed open the doors of the victim’s house on Monday morning and saw Parvathi lying dead on the kitchen floor.

“The killer strangled her to death using her blouse. We’re suspecting Raju in the killing since he disappeared from Sunday,” inspector A. Venkataratnam said.

The couple has a three-year-old daughter Gangotri. Raju’s father is believed to have taken the kid to Guntur since it would be difficult for Parvathi to look after the child if she secured a job.
