Veldanda SI held on graft charge

HYDERABAD: Officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday ‘caught’ Tirupathi Murali, Sub-Inspector, Veldanda Police Station in Mahbubnagar district, accepting a bribe of Rs.5,000 through constable Marru Sham Sunder, for extending an official favour to a complainant running a hotel at Veldanda. A press release issued by ACB here said the tainted amount was recovered from the table drawer of Sunder. He is being arrested for production before the Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases, Hyderabad. – Special Correspondent
