President of District Consumer Forum K.V.H. Prasad, who inaugurated the meet, called upon law students to work for improving professional skills and standards in wake of globalisation.

He said the functioning of law graduates was not confined to court work alone but liberalisation opened new opportunities for them.

Meet challenges

Only by enhancing the professional skills, they could meet the new challenges, he said.

Nagendranath, advocate, said practical training was more important than subject knowledge for the success of an advocate in the profession.
