Tributes paid to Ambedkar

VISAKHAPATNAM : Rich tributes were paid to B.R. Ambedkar on the occasion of his 52 death anniversary on Saturday.

At a meeting organised by city unit of BJP Dalit Morcha, former Mayor D.V. Subba Rao recalled the services of Dr. Ambedkar to the nation. He had drafted the Constitution for the largest democracy in the world, he said. City unit president of the BJP, P.V. Narayana Rao urged all to strive to achieve the goals set by Dr. Ambedkar. Dalit Morcha city unit president, Janga Ramadasu presided. The Ukku Nirvasita Scheduled Caste Employees Progressive Association observed the death anniversary. TDP corporator, Kona Tata Rao was the chief guest. Malakapalli Ramulu presided. Visakha Steel Employees honorary president, Padi Trinadha Rao, spoke.
