Traffic arrangements

VISAKHAPATNAM: Traffic at various places in the city will be diverted in view of Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy’s visit on Thursday, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) P. Viswa Prasad.

Parking of vehicles will not be allowed on the road between Dolphin Junction and Gurazada Kalakshetram at Siripuram via Jagadamba junction. Push carts will not be allowed on the road. The regulation on this stretch of road will be in force from 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Vehicles transporting public and party workers for the Congress meeting will be allowed to proceed up to Gurazada Kalakshetram only till 4 p.m. These vehicles are allowed to be parked on the road behind the Government Circuit House.

Those vehicles coming after 4 p.m. will be allowed only up to the C.R. Reddy Square. These vehicles have to be parked only on the Beach Road or near the Park Hotel. Party workers have to park their vehicles in the parking slot provided near Akashavani (AIR).

No vehicles, except those in the Chief Minister’s convoy, would be permitted into Gurazada Kalakshetram. Parking of any vehicle will not be allowed on the road opposite the VUDA Children Theatre and the car showroom of Varun Motors.

Two wheelers and cars can be parked at the AU Assembly and AU Arts College. General traffic will not be allowed on the roads proceeding towards Gurazada Kalakshetram from 5 p.m. till the end of the meeting.
