By June this year, IHHR would make available 100 rooms, says Geeta Reddy

HYDERABAD: Tourism Minister J. Geeta Reddy and MLAs Swarna Sudhakar (Congress) and D.K. Aruna (Samajwadi Party) on Thursday lashed out at the Telugu Desam Legislator Nagam Janardhan Reddy for criticising UPA Convenor Sonia Gandhi.

At a press conference here, they recalled Dr. Janardhan Reddy's words on the IHHR Hospitality Private Limited and his allegation on Sonia Gandhi's involvement that he said had resulted in the Congress Government allotting 15.06 acres of land. They recalled the sacrifices of the Nehru family in general and Mrs. Gandhi in particular and said he had no moral right to even pronounce her name.

Dr. Geeta Reddy said the Rate Fixation Committee in the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation had recommended a rate of Rs. 85 lakh per acre and that was how the land had been allotted to IHHR. This was part of State Government's focus on `Wellness Tourism' to increase tourist inflows.
