Togadia stresses need for unity among Hindus

VISAKHAPATNAM: International general secretary of Viswa Hindu Parishad Praveen Togadia on Wednesday stressed the importance of unity among Hindus to face the onslaught on Hinduism by forces out to destroy it.

Addressing a Dharma Rakshana Nidhi Samarpana meeting organised by the Visakha Mahanagar unit of the VHP at the Visakha Public Library here, he gave details of threats that the ancient ‘dharma’ faced from various forces. In his hour-long speech, heard with pin drop silence by packed audience, the VHP leader touched upon various issues, which included conversions, jehad and the tactics they deploy to completely destroy Hinduism.

Explaining some of the features of Hindu dharma, Dr. Togadia said that it was the only religion that believed in ‘atman’, birth, death and rebirth.

He cited a study to assert that Hindus had a common ancestry and Hindus were genetically one.
