Take up anti-larval operations in flood-hit areas, tehsildars told

Joint Collector K. Sasidhar monitors flood relief

Joint Collector K. Sasidhar on Wednesday asked the tehsildars and special officers of flood-affected mandals to take up anti-larval operations in their respective mandals to prevent the spread of communicable diseases.

Addressing a teleconference with the officials here, he asked the officials to distribute the specially designed rice and kerosene coupons to the flood victims and submit the indents to the Collector through the Revenue Divisional Officers concerned.

Mr. Sasidhar monitored the functioning of the relief camps, availability of medical camps, distribution of fodder and drinking water facilities in the flood-affected areas. He said distribution of coupons to the mandals was almost completed, except Devipatnam mandal..

Survey

He said a survey to assess the damage due to the flood would be conducted only after restoration of normalcy in all the mandals.

District Revenue Officer S. Venkata Rao, Revenue Divisional Officer G.C. Kishore Kumar and other officials were present.
