Recharge voucher will be valid for 10 years keeping alive the connection and ‘Pay Per Call’ offer

HYDERABAD: Tata Teleservices (TTSL) on Tuesday launched ‘Pay Per Call’ service with which a Tata Indicom subscriber could pay Re. 1 for local and Rs. 3 for an STD call, regardless of the duration and to any mobile phone or landline.

All that the subscriber would have to pay for this facility is Re. 1 a day that would be deducted automatically, said S. Ramakrishna, Chief Operating Officer, TTSL (AP and Orissa circles).

Existing subscribers need to buy a recharge voucher of Rs. 96 to get on board this scheme.

New customers would have to take a voucher of Rs. 99, over and above the cost of the SIM and the handset. Initially the offer is only for the pre-paid platform.

He said the ‘Pay Per Call’ concept was unique and being launched for the first time. “It significantly reduces customer confusion arising out of complex rate plans, day/night calling charges, on-net/off-net rates and such finer details.

Callers no longer have to worry about the duration or the cost they will pay per minute.”

The most interesting factor was that the recharge voucher would be valid for 10 years, keeping the connection and the ‘Pay Per Call’ offer live for that long, Mr. Ramakrishna added.
