TCS campus interviews at Vignan get under way

Over 350 students are participating in interviews

GUNTUR: There-day campus interviews being conducted by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) at Vignan Engineering College began on Sunday. Over 350 students belonging to various colleges are attending interviews.

Consultancy services senior technical manager Lakshminarayana and human resources manager Srikanth Pandi are conducting the interviews.

Speaking on the occasion, College principal K.V.N. Srinivasa Rao said the every student of the college was being provided training in soft skills and personality development. He asked students to utilize the opportunity to join one of the software major across the world. College dean Puvvada Ramesh said T.C.S had selected 90 students in 2007 and hoped that they would cross the figure this year.

B. Pharmacy exams

Meanwhile, students of Chalapathi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences have performed well in the final year B. Pharmacy annual examinations held in March 2007. Principal N. Rama Rao said out of 64 students, 38 have secured distinction with the first batch students securing the highest marks. Nearly 16 students secured more than 80 per cent, he said.

One of the students, K. Mani Kantha secured the highest mark with 88.07 per cent followed by P. Prathyusha with 85.43 per cent and P. Jeevani with 84.36 per cent. Chalapathi Educational Society president Y.V. Anjaneyulu complimented the students on their achievement.
