Symposium gets under way

TECH MATTERS:JNTU-Kakinada Vice-Chancellor inaugurating the two-day national-level technical symposium at DIET in Anakapalle on Friday.

VISAKHAPATNAM: A two-day national-level technical symposium ACUMEN-10 was inaugurated by JNTU-Kakinada Vice-Chancellor Allam Appa Rao at Dadi Institute of Engineering and Technology (DIET), Anakapalle, on Friday. The symposium is being organised by the students of CSE and IT branches of the college in association with DIET – ACM chapter.

The Vice-Chancellor, in his inaugural address emphasised on transparency and accountability and urged the management to make the colleges and the university student centric. The co-chairman of ACM-India, P.J. Narayanan, Founder and Chairman of DIET Dadi Veerabhadra Rao, correspondent of the college Dadi Ratnakar, principal B. Jagan Mohan Rao, HoD of CSE K. Amarendra and HoD of IT G. Satyanarayana were present.

The workshop will contain various competitions like paper presentation, poster presentation, software and hardware expo and media expo. Over 500 students from various colleges are participating in the meet.
