VISAKHAPATNAM: Secretary to Ministry of Steel R.S. Pandey on Saturday visited the expansion area of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. Mr. Pandey and other senior officials from the ministry were given a warm welcome at the Hilltop guesthouse by Chairman and Managing Director P.K. Bishnoi and Director (Commercial and Projects) H.S. Chhatwal, Director (Operations) P.K Mishra and Y. Manohar and Executive Director (Projects) A.K. Banerjee.
Mr. Pandey inspected steel melting shop-2, blast furnace-3 and raw material handling plant areas. He also reviewed the progress of Gangavaram port.
Later he had a chat with the senior VSP officials on corporate social responsibility and marketing. Special Secretary and Financial Advisor, Ministry of Steel A.K. Rath, Joint Secretary G. Elias, Deputy Secretary N. Vijayalaxmi and others were present.
