They fiercely competed against each other to bag the coveted title. But with the title war over now, they joined hands to entertain the people of Vijayawada.
‘Indian Idol' Sreeram Chandra and runner-up Bhumi Trivedi held the music lovers of the city captive for close to two hours with a mix of peppy, melodious and soulful music at ‘Idols in Concert AP Tour' organised by RNH Events at Vijayawada Club on Friday night.
Sreeram, who made it a point to recall his association with the city, enthralled the crowd with a mix of Telugu and Hindi songs like “Guppedantha Aashaki…”; title track from his new album “Rehanuma” released by Sony Music on October 19; “Aanewala Pal…” (Golmaal), Arreyre Arreyre…” (Happy Days), “Dekhana hain re…”, “Noppi Noppi…” (Pokiri) and the ones that made him popular on ‘Indian Idol' show like “Khwaja mere Khwaja…” and the dual song of Kishore Kumar alternating between a female voice and a male voice.
Not to be left behind, Bhumi instantly struck a rapport with the good number of youngsters and women of north Indian communities by belting out “Hari Om Hari…”, “Jaane Tu Jaanena…” and a Punjabi medley that had children and youngsters trooping towards the dais and gyrating along with her.
